Rosanne de Giorgio

Director at Excelentia, Dyslexia and Literacy Specialist, Primary School Teacher, Educational Consultant, Specialist in Teaching using Technology in the Classroom, Educational Researcher and Co-Founder of the Steve Jobs School in Spain


Rosanne de Giorgio is a Dyslexia and Literacy Specialist, qualified by the University of York, in the UK. She has extensive experience as a primary school teacher and has always worked in bilingual schools.

She is an educational researcher based in Javea and gives educational consultancy to various schools in the area.

 

Rosanne was directly responsible for the introduction of the Steve Jobs School concept in Spain. She is a specialist in using innovative ways of teaching, mainly Directed Discovery Teaching and teaching using the latest technology.

Her main passion is Dyslexia and Literacy and she has helped hundreds of students overcome their difficulties and become successful, fulfilled young people. She is a qualified Dyslexia Assessor and is also qualified to carry out screening for ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Dyscalculia amongst others.

Rosanne works to create awareness about Dyslexia and co-existent disorders in Spain and Malta and is continuously carrying out educational research to improve the outcomes for students with specific learning difficulties. She attends conferences in the UK and the rest of Europe to keep up-to-date with latest research and best practice.

Rosanne is a mother to two beautiful girls and amidst a very busy schedule, involving the care of 3 furry cats and 2 very active dogs, is dedicated to supporting her children in their educational progress and acquiring complete joy in life.

Rosanne believes that behind every child’s difficulties, there is always an underlying condition which, if identified, will give way to endless opportunities for success and resilience in life. Rosanne also believes that for children to be able to learn successfully, they need to be emotionally stable and nourished. Hence the foundation of the Specialist Programme….
